The Adventure Begins
Four explorers, Duke Exeter, Hael Storm, Dr. Overbuild and Baron Typhonus set out to find the source of pure imagination. After much searching, and much frustration, at last, they came upon a strange cubed-shaped planet known as Crux. When the four explorers came upon the planet, their travels led them to an old, abandoned temple on Crux. Inside the temple beamed the Nexus of Imagination, the only source of pure imagination in the Universe; they had found it! Eager for its creative powers, Duke Exeter imagined an elaborate castle. Hael imagined apirate ship. Doctor Overbuild thought for a moment, and imagined a puppy. At that moment, an adorable little puppy pet jumped out of the Nexus of Imagination into Doc's arms! Baron Typhonus, mostly insane from the frustration of the travels, decided that imagination shouldn't be limited to what was helpful for all minifigures; he believed that anyone could imagine anything that they wanted, be it good or evil. To demonstrate this, Baron imagined a large, hideous spider. As the spider stepped out of the Nexus, the other three explorers stepped back in shock of what the Baron had done. Baron laughed maniacally, but his evil joy was short-lived. The spider turned around and dragged him into the nexus of pure imagination. With all that evil inside, the source was corrupted. Pure imagination was replaced with pure Maelstrom, an evil chaos, purple in color. The sheer power of the Maelstrom began to destroy things around it; the temple crumbled, the explorer's ship was destroyed, and arms of Maelstrom energy reached out in attempts to smash the other three explorers as well. Thinking quickly, Duke knew that if anyone was smashed, Doctor Overbuild was the only one creative enough to rebuild them. As an arm of Maelstrom energy reached out to strike Doctor Overbuild, Duke jumped in the way and was smashed instead. Doctor Overbuild used the still-falling pieces of their ship to contain the menace, and then quickly rebuilt Duke as the Maelstrom shot deep into the ground. But when the Maelstrom reached Crux's core, the dark energy was too much for the planet to contain. Crux exploded into many chunks of rock, now floating through space. Minifigures everywhere on Crux would be infected with the Maelstrom, and become Stromlings. As the remaining three explorers floated through space on a large rock, overawed by what they had witnessed, Doctor Overbuild picked up a strange-looking crystal. It was the last small shard of pure imagination. As he held it, the three became determined to restore imagination to the universe. If they did nothing, the Maelstrom would continue spreading and eventually infect every last imaginative thing, minifigures and creatures alike. To keep the Maelstrom from spreading, they teamed up to rebuild important colonizations on the rocks floating through space. The three explorers would be overpowered by the Maelstrom, so they asked Baron Typhonus's assistant, Vanda Darkflame, a ninja, to help them. She agreed, and together, they called for minifigures from all across the universe to join in the battle to save imagination.

When the four explorers decided to get the help of Minigifures they have put togeather four factions, each for different causes all to help destroy the Maelstrom.

The Faction Leaders and Factions
Duke Exeter (Sentinels)
Duke is a very famous and powerfull Knight and master of disguse. He swore that he would not rest until the Maelstrom was defeated. He now runs the Sentinel Faction which is the warriors and protectors of the Universe. The Sentonel factions offers the best protection, armor, weapons and attacks. Perfect for minifigure eager to run directly into enemies.
Dr. Overbuild (Assembly)
Dr. Overbuild was a associate of Baron Typhonus and went with him on the search of pure Imagination. He is an absoulute master of Imagination and can build nearly anything possible with his deep wisdom and creativity. He is credited with building most of Nexus Tower, and many other things around Lego Universe. He created the Assembly faction which is considered the first faction, and the base or "foundation" of the Nexus Force. Assembly is the most creative and most powerfull with Imagination of the factions. Assembly offers very good power ups for gear and lots of Imaination storage and generally good armor.
Hael Storm (Venture League)
In times of danger, or an impending party, there's no one you'd want at your side more than the daring and cheerful Hael Storm. Adventure is his middle name, and Hael's natural curiosity drives him to explore every corner of every world surrounding the Maelstorm. The fearless and wisecracking leader of the Venture League invites anyone to join his Faction, as long as they love the mysteries of the unknown. The Venture League faction is powerfull in the exploration and puzzle parts of Lego Universe. The gear offers generally good armor and imagination, but has some of the best long-distance weapons of all kits.
Vanda Darkflame (Paradox)
Vanda Darkflame was chosen to be the leader of the Paradox Faction. She was chosen after her very close assistant Baron Typhonus had vanashed into the Maelstrom. Not much known about her before she became his assistant. Her faction ,Paradox, specialises in studying the Maelstrom, and to use its power against itself. Paradox is a good mix in Imagination Life and Armor with their gear. And they have some very good ranged weapons.
The Worlds
When the planet Crux was over pressured by the Maelstrom, it exploded into several pieces, now forming several small and large worlds. Each unique to itself.
The Venture Explorer
This Air Ship was supposed to be headed to Nimbus Station to deliver rocket parts, but after a imagination leak, the Maelstrom took over infecting most of the crew. Its now up to Bob and Sky Lane to get brand new players of Lego Universe out and into Avant Gardens. This world serves as a tutorial for new players, and will teach you all about moving, life, quick builds and imagination. You will unlock Imagination and the Thinking Cap here.
Avant Gardens
The buitifull Avant Gardens now totaly overun by stormlings, mechs and spiderlings used to be a very nice place to be. Now after a explotion at the Paradox Research Facility, all research has been ruined and now its up to you to help fight the Maelstrom forces. At Avant Gardens, you will get your first shield and weapon, as well as learn the basics of battle and meet your first enemy. Are you ready?
Nimbus Station
Considered the most important of all worlds in Lego Universe, Nimbus Station is a hub world to almost every other Lego Universe world. Here, there are four faction vendors along with a racetrack, a concert and more. When first found, Nimbus Station was overun with stormling forces, and you can help fight them in the past using the portal for The Battle of Nimbus Station. Here, you will get your first faction kit, and then your second faction kit. There are no enemies on the world.
Pet Cove
Upon coming to the small island of Pet Cove, you will learn the secrets of Pet Taiming. Once completeing a couple missions, you will be able to tame pets all over Lego Universe including the three pets found on this island.
Gnarled Forest
A fun-filled tropical world, Gnarled Forest is a pirate themed world that awaits minifigures for quite a fighiting. This world is a more advanced world, that introduces guns and consumables. It contains many tropical pets, a hidden racetrack and Pirate Camp which is found at the end of the world. After the Maelstrom infected the treasure from the pirate ship, greedy Pirates opened it up, only to be infected by the Maelstrom. Can you survive the Maelstrom on this tricky world?
Forbidden Valley
A dark world of several floating pieces of rock, Avant Gardens is the hardest of the originaly launched worlds. This world has also been seroiusly infected by Maelstrom forces and hosts one of the most powerfull creatures the Dragons. Ninjas live in the Great Tree, awaiting minifigures to teach the ways of the Ninja. Can you tame the Dragons?
Nexus Tower
A long term project, now finaly complete, Nexus Tower is home to the last remaining piece of pure imagination, The Imagination Nexus. Nexus Tower is built upon Crux Prime and is the home of all four of the Faction rooms. It hosts several vendors of very expensive and powerfull weapons. You can also meet the Faction Leaders here and practice fighting. The tower also features a Vault that can store up to 240 models and 240 objects. Minifigures helped build it by donating bricks to the Nexus Jawbox.
Crux Prime
The darkest and largest world of all of Lego Universe, Crux Prime is the ultimate battle between the Maelstrom and the Nexus Force. The Maelstrom has put its very best and most powerfull enemies on this world. Many named enemies are here too, which are even more powerfull. Here, you will also be introduced to the Art of Spinjitsu by Sensei Wu from the LEGO series NINJAGO. Few can master Crux Prime can you?
Starbase 3001
Starbase 3001 is a hub world that will take you to the 4 LUP worlds. The LUP worlds are Lego Universe worlds created by the Lego fans. Each LUP world has its own set of missions. The Launch Pad to this world is located across from the Pet Cove lauch pad and in the Assembly section of Nexus Tower.
Club Station Alpha
This world is an exclusive world for Lego Club members only. You can get access to this world by using a Club Code. There is a vendor here that sells exclusive Lego Universe stuff here like the Max Jumpsuit and Pet shirts. There is also a Play Area here and Launch Pads to Nimbus Station, Avant Gardens, Gnarled Forest and Forbidden Valley as well as many Lego Club characters here too.
Frostburgh
World Currently Closed
The winter themed world for Lego Universe is Frostburgh. It first came out in the Winter of 2010, but should be once again released every November. Frostburgh is considered to be a comet that only passes by close enough to be accessed by rocket from Nimbus Station every couple of months. This world has a Riendeer pet, A winter version of the Vertigo Loop racetrack and missions and achievements.
