Basics: Clothing and Items help you survive!

Lego Universe is stock full of different ways to customize yourself. With several hats, pants, shirts and more! But did you know that certain clothing can help you in battle? Well this chapter of the basics will explain what clothing, and items can do for you!

Individual Item Bonus
Certain clothing like seen here will aid you by increasing your storage. The item shown here, Engineer Pants 3, has the following characteristics: It increases your Armor storage by 2 (+2) and it Increases your Imagination storage by 2 (+2). This item doesn't have any special abilities, but if it did, the abilities would be displayed there.

Next you will see the Rarity section. This shows you how rare an object is. Smallest diamond being Very Common and Largest Diamonds meaning Very Rare. A help full thing to look at, especially when your trading.

Under that, you can see how much coins it can be sold for, and how many Faction Tokens. Note that only Faction Kit items will give you Faction Tokens.

Next to it you see a little chain. That means the item is linked. Linked items cannot be traded or sent Via mail. But they can usually be sold or thrown out. Items that you pick up from enemies or smashables do not get linked. And most items from vendors aren't linked. But once you put something on, it becomes linked to you. Mission rewards and achievement awards are generally linked too.

Multi Item Bonus
When you have a piece of a kit, you will see a Multi Item Bonus. That just means that for wearing 4, 5 or 6 pieces of the kit, you get an ADDITIONAL storage boost. For example here, when wearing four parts of the Engineer Rank 3 kit, you get one more armor storage and two more imagination storage. And it restores 3 Imagination when you run out.

Each item is different and so are kits, so each will have its own power ups and storage space increases.

Consumables
There are hundreds of items in Lego Universe. And some of them are consumables.

Each consumable is different in its own ways. Some restore imagination, some armor or health. Some restore immediately, some restore over time. Most consumables can only be used once per item and may need a cooling down period in which the item is unusable for a period of time.

An example above, the Thirst Quencher, restores 12 imagination over some time. It is a common object and can be sold for 6 coins.

Consumables are found everywhere, from vendors to smashables to enemies. These items will quickly get you ship shape in a serious situation.

Other help full items
A couple achievements can also unlock objects that can be placed anywhere in Lego Universe that produce imagination not just for yourself, but for other players too. See if you can find them. Weapons are also help full for refueling, but that's the next chapter.
