Pet Taming

Did you know that Lego Universe is filled with Pets? Yes, it is.... pets that you can collect. There's dogs to cats to bunnies, to DINOSAURS! All pets have something in common too. They can all activate pet bouncers, they all have cute emotions that you can simply activate, they can dig up treasure chests and much more!

In order to start "taming" these pets, you need to go to Pet Cove to earn you ability to tame pets. It is not required to go, but then when you explore Lego Universe you can tame pets on your way around. To tame a pet, you first need to play a short mini game.

Once you can tame pets, go up to one. A icon will display how much imagination is required to tame it. If you have enough imagination, click shift to start. You will then need to play a short mini game where you need to build the pet's favorite item. Simply choose all the bricks that are floating and are in the floating object. Carefull - they are trying to trick you. Be sure you watch the time too. And remember that not all the bricks in the item are floating there in the options.

Buffalo
Requires 8 Imagination
Brick Build: Corn Cob
Location: Avant Gardens
Tip: This pet is hidden. When you are approaching the end of Avant Gardens (the place with bleachers and water) turn right. The buffalo area is directly to the right of the path you walk down to get the end of Avant Gardens.

Bunny
Requires 4 Imagination
Brick Build: Carrot
Location: Pet Cove
Tip: One of the three groups of pets found in Pet Cove.

Cat
Requires 4 Imagination
Brick Build: Cat Play Tower
Location: Pet Cove
Tip: This is one of the three groups of pets found at pet cove.

Crab
Requires 10 Imagination
Brick Build: Sunglasses
Located In: Gnarled Forest
Tip: This pet is hidden. At the pirate camp, dig up any treasure chest with another pet, to find the crab.

Crocodile
Requires 10 Imagination Points
Brick Build: A frog
Located at: Gnarled Forest
Tip: It is located at crocodile corner to the left of the Keelhaul Canyon race track. To get there, use the pirates only build in the area near the elephants. To use the pirates only build, talk to the pirate captain at the pirates camp.

Doberman
Requires 10 Imagination
Brick Build: Meat Haunch
Located At: Avant Gardens
Tip: *WOOF* Located in Sentinel Encampment (the place aster the big gate located half way trough Avant Gardens.

Elephant
Requires 10 Imagination
Brick Build: Chest
Additional Requirements: Bag of Peanuts
Located At: Gnarled Forest
Tip: Peanuts are required. Get some in the Pirate Missions or from the pirate vendor at the pirate camp. Located in a area right after the trench.

Goat
Requires 15 Imagination
Brick Build: Bell Chime
Located at: Forbidden Valley
Tip: This pet is hidden. Find it at cavalry hill in Forbidden Valley.). It is hiding in the mountains there.

Green Dragon
Requires 23 Imagination
Brick Build:Fly Trap Plant
Located at: Forbidden Valley
Addition Required Item: Water Gun
Tip: A water gun can be made from doing a mission for the Orange Wizard at Nimbus Station. The pet is hidden. It is located over a cliff near the fallen gate. You need to build a bouncer that is somewhere in the battle area.

Lion
Requires 25 Imagination
Brick Build: King Crown
Located At: Gnarled Forest
Tip: This pet can only be found after taming all the other 18 pets that will complete Coalessa's mission. Then go to the lion statue near the alligators at Gnarled Forest.

Panda
Requires 15 Imagination
Brick Build: Bamboo
Located at: Forbidden Forest
Tip: This pet will only appear at the end of Brickmaster Clang's foot race which is unlocked after you complete all his missions. (Brickmaster Clang is the ninja in the great tree surrounded by water.)

Praying Mantis
Requires 18 Imagination
Brick Build: Butterfly
Tip: The praying mantis is located near the begging of Forbidden Valley around Mantis Rock.

Red Dragon
Requires 23 Imagination
Brick Build: Fire Extinguisher
Located at: Forbidden Valley
Additional Required Items: Water Sprayer
Tip: This pet is hidden. It is located in the cliffs around the Paradox Research Facility. Try using the right-click feature on your mouse to look around for the ledge that it is on. Get a water sprayer from a mission from an Orange Wizard at Nimbus Station.

Robot Dog
Requires 10 Imagination
Brick Build: A motor
Located at: Nimbus Station
Tip: This pet can be found at Brick Annex in Nimbus Station.

Skunk
Requires 8 Imagination
Brick Build: Perfume Bottle
Located at: Nimbus Station
Additional Required Items: Water Sprayer
Tip: Get a water sprayer from an Orange Wizard at Nimbus Station in his mission, and the Skunk can be wandering somewhere around Nimbus Plaza.

Terrier
Requires 4 Imagination
Brick Build: Meat Haunch
Located At: Pet Cove
Tip: This is one of the three groups of pets located at Pet Cove.

Tortoise
Requires 12 Imagination
Brick Build: Tank
Located at: Gnarled Forest
Tip: This is a hidden pet. To find it turn left after the big chasm when first entering Gnarled Forest. Cross the bridge. (Remember in the Brick Build that the colors are only Black and Gray, not Gray and White)

Triceratops
Requires 10 Imagination
Brick Build: Trumpet

Located at: Avant Gardens

Tip: This is a hidden pet. To find it, look up above onto a ledge at the very begging of Avant Gardens near the launch pad you arrive at. Use a pet to access the treasure chest below the cliff and then use the pet bouncer to get up there.

Warthog
Requires 12 Imagination
Brick Build: Mushroom
Located at: Gnarled Forest
Tip: This pet can be found wandering all over Gnarled Forest, but is mainly seen near the area for Elephants.

Reindeer
Currently Cannot be tamed
Requires 12 Imagination
Brick Build: Carrot
Located At: Frostburgh
Tip: This pet is on the Comet Frostburgh which is only available in the winter months. You cannot tame this pet until the comet comes back into closer contact with the rest of the Lego Universe worlds.

Skeleton Dragon
Requires 15 Imagination
Brick Build: Chili Pepper
Located at: Crux Prime
Tip: This pet is VERY hidden. The pet is hidden at a particular treasure chest that should be accessed by another pet. You will learn more when you complete one of Sensei Wu's missions at Crux Prime.
